But I'm just me? Why do I need a website?

Recently, I built a house. Well, not me technically, but I contracted a number of
different trades to do the job for me. I have very few contacts in the area so to find these people I had to do a lot of research to make sure they were trustworthy, reliable and the right size of company.

My chief sources of research were Google and Yell - what I really wanted to know was did these potential trades have a website that I could study to find out more about them. I wanted to know:
How many years' experience did they have doing what they do?
What sort of projects had they undertaken before?
Did they have any testimonials?
What sort of size was the company?
What "feel" did the website give about company?
Contact details.
Websites are the perfect way to help you find customers who, having already studied your website, already potentially want to take things further. They've now decided that you're the sort of person they need, you do the right work, you have experience, they like the "sound" of you.

Don't underestimate the value this provides in attracting customers. Whether you're in the building industry, a beautician, an interior designer, a craftsperson, if someone is looking for your line of work, they'll want to know some stuff first. Gone are the days when people wanted to pick up a phone without any background and just ask questions to find these things out. And, to be honest, who wants to spend precious time dealing with someone who might just say, "Well, thanks, but I don't think you're quite what I'm looking for."
A website will do a lot of that work for you - saving you time and money!

What happens from here.
I have a current offer of £150 for a four page basic website (it doesn't include a shop, but this can be included for a small monthly payment to Wix).
I will send you my information pack detailing the options available and a form to help me design the perfect website once you decide to go ahead. No pressure, I won't be calling you.
Just have a look - it makes sense!
